JeffreyJeffrey Gan, PhD. is the Chief Consultant of Inspirational Life & Business Coaching Consultation and the Master Trainer of JobSkills Training & Development Centre. He has been giving training and consulting since 1996 and has focused on the development of personal excellence, performance enhancement, leadership, communication, emotional and spiritual development as well as work-live balance workshops with his background in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Sales and Marketing. By blending Western strategies for personal effectiveness and peak performance with timeless wisdom for care of the mind, body & soul, he has helped thousands of people enhance the quality of their lives.
Over ten years ago, Jeffrey set out to find the most effective strategies for dynamic living. With few resources but a commitment to learning and self-improvement, he studied and traveled extensively searching for philosophies, techniques and skills that anyone could apply easily to profoundly improve the quality of their personal and professional lives. He distilled much of the timeless literature on character-building and successful living and learned the secrets of hundreds and hundreds of people including leaders in the world of high finance, wildly successful entrepreneurs, yogis living high in the Himalayan mountain of India, Sufis, Sages of the East and everyday people who had found ways to live with deep contentment. He then tested the principles he learned in his own life.
Jeffrey’s primary aim, over the past decade, has been to synthesize the technology of “how to make a living,” based on Western expertise, with the technology of “how to live,” based on Eastern philosophical traditions. He compares and contrasts the analytic, scientific and secular approach to thinking, traditionally associated with the West, to the more holistic, mystical, and spiritual approach, conventionally associated with the East. Focusing on both approaches, he indicates why and how each can be used by anyone. Through this approaches, he is helping us to manage our thoughts, our feelings, and our emotions effectively. Moreover, in guiding us toward the management of our “consciousness,” as well as our body and mind, he is constructing a bridge between West and East. In other words, by enabling us to manage our creativity and intuition, as well as our instinct and intellect, Jeffrey directs us beyond raw energy and professional competence towards self and managerial mastery.
Education background
Dr Gan obtained his B.A(Hon) in Sociology(UKM, Mal), M.A in Industrial and Organizational Psychology(UKM, Mal) and PhD in Transpersonal Psychology(OIUAM, India). He is also a Certified Master Clinical Hypnotherapist(IACT, USA), Certified Hypnotist(NGH, USA) and a Certified Sclerologist(ISI, USA).
As a specialist in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, he also holds Certificate in Human Resource Management, Certificate in Training Technology, Certificate in Training Management, Certificate in Total Quality Management and Certificate in Professional Selling & Marketing Strategies.
He is belongs to the following professional body: The Malaysian Psychological Association(MPA), Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers(MAPS), The International Association of Counselors & Therapists(IACT), USA, The National Guild of Hypnotists(NGH), USA and The International Sclerology Institute(ISI), USA.
Dr Gan’s written articles have been published in trend magazines(Majalah Keluarga), he has appeared on talk radio(Radio Kuantan, RTM), and has been featured as “man of the month” in Mingguan Wanita(May 2005).He speaks fluent English, Malay & Chinese.
Past aNd Present appointment
Jeffrey’s experience is both comprehensive and varied, particularly within the manufacturing and servicing industry. He began his career in December 1989 as a production staff in the manufacturing department of Matsushita Industrial Corp. Sdn. Bhd. which after six unprecedented months of fast learning and assimilation, he left the company to further his tertiary education. As an undergraduate, between the periods of mid 1990 to end 1993, he worked temporarily as a quality control line leader in Siltec (M) Sdn. Bhd. and was successfully promoted as a quality control supervisor to manage quality and productivity operations. When his completed his first degree in National University of Malaysia, he was offered as Human Resource Executive with the same Company. In order to expand his experience, he left the manufacturing industry to venture into servicing industry. He has more than 10 years experiences in selling insurance and had conducted various training programs on Sales & Marketing, Leadership, Motivation, Positive Mental Attitude, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Self Management & Self Mastery workshops for various insurance agencies. He has vast lecturing experiences as a part time lecturer in Sepang Institute of Technology, for University of London’s degree program.
Prior to the establishment of his own training and consulting firms, he was the Principle Training Consultant in JTFrank Consulting Group, which was one of the established management group specializing in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. During his tenure with JTFrank, he has conducted numerous training programs in HRM and organizational development. He also facilitated workshops in the areas of General Management and Self-Mastery programs. He was also engaged as Business Development Consultant for Blue Diamond Water Treatment (M) Sdn. Bhd. and ABM International Ltd. of Singapore from 2002 to 2004.
As a way to fulfill his passion in natural health, he started practicing complimentary therapy by applying Phytobiophysics, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), Nutritional and Diet Therapy as the healing modalities since 2001. Being a sclerologist with the ability to interpret the red lines, colorations, and markings in the sclera as they relate reflexively to the whole body health and using applied kinesiology to confirm the test, he can ascertain what body systems are being affected by some form of stress, the cause of the stress, and how the body is responding to that stress, so natural therapies can best be employed.
Besides his busy working schedules, he also devoted himself in delivering public talks in the areas of Ethical Living and Parenting Skills to various kindergartens, daycares, schools, NGO and spiritual centre as a part of his charity works. He is also appointed as a spiritual trainer and speaker to Malaysian National Service since 2007.
